Cobbosseecontee Lake, a place Dylan deeply cherished, inspired this brew, as did his love for beer—particularly Kölsch. After traveling to Cologne, he dreamed of creating a beer that captured the essence of sunshine, endless kranz trays, and lively biergartens. When we set out to create our opening day lineup, there was no question that Kölsch would be a cornerstone, and Contee would be its name. We are proud to continue brewing his original recipe—a clean, crisp ale that drinks like a lager, with delicate biscuit notes, a vibrant malt backbone, and a subtle hop character.
